Zone V2
Very large, longitudinally located area. The basis of the zone is
sympathetic vegetative plexus surrounding the aortic arch and
brachiocephalic arteries extending from it.
The lower boundary of the zone is located in the upper part of the chest on
level of the handle of the sternum and body IV thoracic vertebra. Upper bound
the zone extends down to the soft tissues of the base of the skull,
including muscles, vessels and visceral structures of the neck.
For more information about the composition of the V2 zone:
• Teeth, alveolar processes, body and ascending branch of the lower
the jaws (except the articular process and the HFND are the first
lateral zones);
• Soft palate, pharynx, chin-lingual and sublingual-lingual
muscles, the muscles of the bottom of the mouth, the salivary glands (submandibular and
sublingual);
• Muscles deep flexors of the head and neck;
• hyoid bone;
• Visceral structures of the neck – larynx, esophagus, trachea, sleepy

Zone V2 generates emotions associated with fairly frequent
typical states – the desire to buy something, the torment of choice
(between two goods or suitors, electrochemical mechanisms are one). The reader is familiar with the “state of mind” of eagerness,
or lust that fills a person entirely and suppresses him
will (the classics of Russian literature were very familiar with
this condition, especially L. Tolstoy and F. Dostoevsky).
Emotions of insult, loss of a loved one or his betrayal,
that can kill a person, are also produced by the V2 zone.
When a person experiences the emotions described above, he has
specific sensations appear behind the handle of the sternum, in the throat,
in the mandibular zone. These feelings and experiences of emotions
associated with the release of specific neuropeptides, as well as with
tension smooth muscles of the aortic arch and large outgoing
vessels. The tension of the vessels is transmitted along their course to the pools
external and internal carotid arteries, as well as along the shoulder
arteries, vertebral arteries and upper extremities. Parallel
smooth muscles of the visceral organs of the neck – the trachea and
esophagus.
This is where the familiar sensations of most neurotic and
psychosomatic conditions: “a lump in the throat”, “insult stifles”
“Cheekbones cramped”, “food in the throat gets stuck” and also external
vegetative reaction of the region – “the neck and face are blotchy gone,”
“Turned red with shame” or “turned white with emotion,” or “green with
grief became. ”
Smooth muscle tension potentiates stress
skeletal striated muscle, which is transmitted to
aponeuroses of the head and neck, causing typical cross facial
patterns, tension and soreness of the posterior neck muscles,
blocking the rotation of the upper cervical spine between C2
– C1 vertebrae.
Irritation of sympathetic perivascular plexuses and
voltage of intracranial and extracranial vessels may
cause headaches. In addition, due to failures of the vegetative
innervation can suffer venous outflow from the skull, which gives
typical venous headaches. Headaches can also
arise due to the secondary reaction of the dural meninges to
the tension of the vessels, the blood supply of which is carried out from the pool of the external carotid artery through a large branch

Vegetative innervation of the heart also suffers, which can lead
